Organ Customizations

Every organ that Johannus builds is designed specifically for its owner. Even when one of the stock models is chosen, many options are available at the time of ordering (and must be made at that time) and are not standard features on most organs. Below are some of the most common customizations available.

All Swells to Swell

A thumb piston that makes the entire organ express with the swell pedal. Standard on the American Classic VII organ.

Zimbelstern Piston

A thumb piston that allows the activation of an external zimbelstern. Zimbelstern must be purchased separately (see Accessories page for more information).

Music Rack Upgrades

Customers have a choice of several music rack upgrades. These upgrades include adjustability, plexiglass, and LED lighting.

Drawknob Upgrades

Customers that purchase drawknob organs can upgrade to lighted wooden drawknobs (shown) or mechanical moving drawknobs.

Loudspeakers

Some organs, like those in the Opus and Sweelinck series, come standard with internal speakers. Organs such as these can be expanded with external speakers for greater audio power and sound quality.

Keyboard Upgrades

The standard HQT (high-quality tracker) manuals can be replaced by wood core (shown) or hand-made wooden keyboards.

Expression Pedal Upgrades

To improve the feel, rubber mats and brass name plates can be added to the expression pedals. Standard on American Classic VII.

Stoplist Changes

Depending on the organ, stops can be swapped and/or added to change the stoplist to your liking.

Height-Adjustable Bench

Customers have the option of ordering an adjustable-height bench made with the same wood as your organ console.

Wood Colors

All organs are made with either light or dark oak standard, but can be customized with any wood or finish.

Loudspeaker Facades

Give your organ the look of a positiv organ with a selection of several beautifully-designed speaker facades.
