The Johannus Organ Company has devoted itself to the most accurate reproduction of the pipe organ experience in the world. To this end:

¨ The sampling technique is "real-time", meaning that the sounds are not compressed, spliced or taken at a high rate of speed.

¨ The sounds of the chiff and the decay are sampled along with the sound of the pipe itself, giving the listener the most realistic recreation of the pipe sound possible.

¨ The samples are taken at the highest rates possible, up to 62.5 kHz – compare this to the CD standard of 44.1.

¨ The sound is reproduced using 24 bit sound resolution – compare that to the industry standard of 16 bit sound resolution.

¨ The technique called "multi-plexing" can reduce the clarity of the sound, so Johannus design uses more Digital-to-Analogue Converters (DACs) than anyone, employing up to 1 DAC for each stop for maximum clarity of sound.

¨ The tremulant affects different stop sounds in different ways, the way it would happen in a real pipe organ.

Quality control is vital and they go to extremes to ensure that every Johannus organ is the best, most reliable instrument on the market.

¨ All connections are 24 karat gold plated.

¨ Keyboard switches are carbon-disk switches, the most reliable available, and are sealed to prevent contamination of the contacts.

¨ Finishes and joints are designed to withstand extremes in temperature, so that the same organ would resist the heat and dryness of the desert and the cold and humidity of the northern seaboards.

¨ Pedals employ a wireless contact system to minimize the possibility of failure.

All Johannus organs are made from the same materials, unlike the practice in some quarters to use cheaper materials and technology in less expensive organs. All consoles are built from the same grade of wood, using the same finishes and adhesives. All organs are equipped with the same keyboards, the same samples and playback technology, and utilize the same speakers, meaning that the less expensive organs sound as good as the more expensive models.  As an instrument gets bigger and more expensive, there is simply more of everything – more stops, channels, memory, etc.

All Johannus organs are fully loaded with standard features:

  1. ¨  Digital reverb
  2. ¨  Programmable midi
  3. ¨  Transposer
  4. ¨  Tuner
  5. ¨  Factory registration presets
  6. ¨  Programmable General Crescendo
  7. ¨  Bass coupler
  8. ¨  Melody coupler
  9. ¨  Werkmeister 3 and Meantone
  10. ¨  Midi in-out-sequencer out
  11. ¨  Headphone jack
  12. ¨  Aux in/out
